The Golden Hop is a yet to be built brewery and restaurant.  There are looking for a logo design that can be used on signage, bottles, beer cans and promotional material.  Their main focus is on IPAs that they will brew in-house.  They will also facilitate a full service restaurant.  They want a traditional style to their logo.  Golden Hop will be family orientated, welcoming and a fun environment with a focus on quality.  

I decided to develop a logo that focused on the name of the brewery and restaurant.  The Golden Hop to me evoked a focus on an actual hop and the colour gold.  For the final design I incorporated the logomark of a golden hop to symbolise the name.  I also worked the gold into the logotype and used the traditional serif font Baskerville in the design.  I chose a metallic gold that would make the golden hop really stand out.  I chose a secondary colour of dark green to complement the gold and bring tradition to the design.
